Joyjah Estrada is a Belizian social media personality. A popular Instagram model and content creator, her YouTube channel, with 151,000 subscribers, features content regarding her natural curly hair. She is also a rising TikTok sensation with 244,600 followers. Joyjah Estrada was born on November 28, 1994, in Belize.
Joyjah was raised in Belize by artists her mother, a painter, and her father, a sculptor. She also has a younger brother, who makes up the last of their close-knit family. When she was very young, she developed an interest in modeling as a result of her parents' and her closest friends' constant compliments. However, she was bullied as a child for her freckles, which she now fully embraces.
Joyjah was first observed by a scout for modeling while still in high school. Nevertheless, Joyjah continued to prioritize her education and enrolled at the University of Belize in 2012, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2015.
Joyjah launched her YouTube in 2016 and never looked back. Now a full time content creator, she moved to Los Angeles in 2019 to begin a new chapter of her life.
Joyjah Estrada is all about self-love, authenticity, and giving back to her people. Ironically, her creator journey began with a bad haircut. In an interview with Bare Minerals she explains that this fateful cut left her with hair too short to tie into a ponytail.
This sent her spiraling down the rabbit hole of available content on how to make hair grow faster and all things hair health related. Joyjah made a “concoction” based on all of her research and started her social platforms as a way to share her findings.
